Is that really what life is about? Is failure a reason to leave with our heads down? I would venture to say that life is worth more than that.
17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:17-18)
The scripture is clear that we will meet defeat at times on this earth. It is also clear that in those times we need to leave with heads held high! We know the ultimate outcome of this battle. God's glory will be revealed to us in the end. Until then we continue to press on toward that goal.
