KY residents: CAP Grant projected to run out soon

"Funds for the state grant programs are depleting very quickly. If you haven't done so, please complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. We estimate that funds for the CAP program may run out this week!"

We have received information from KHEAA that helps us to project the availability of CAP and KTG grant money for Kentucky residents. Based on this information, it is expected that CAP availability could run out by this coming weekend and KTG will run out shortly thereafter. This is only a projection, and not a guarantee that funds will run out by then or last until this weekend.

Kentucky provides two types of grants, but the funds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. That is why we emphasize that anyone planning to attend in the coming school year complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible at the beginning of the calendar year. Please do not delay. The application is free and you are under no obligation to attend.

If you are planning to attend one of our upcoming Spring sessions, you will need to  complete your 2011-2012 FAFSA as well.
