If you want to be considered for aid from your state or college, you must meet its free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) deadline. If you plan to go to college in the fall, the state of Kentucky deadline is anytime after January 1; and your college financial aid deadline could be as early as February. In Ky, the state grants are on a first-come, first-serve basis and eligibility runs out quickly. That is why MCU encourages students to complete their 2012-2013 FAFSA by January 31st.
